Last week's session #4 (May 6th), the party was sent on a new mission by the merchant.

They went to a 3-factioned town.

The town there complained about a certain hunting grounds was causing some of their best hunters to disappear. One faction was accusing another faction of it being a plot.

Another faction believed it a bad omen, and time to become nomads again after having settled for 5 years (longer than ever before).

The merchant wanted the party to find out how to convince the villagers to stay.

Only by solving the missing hunters mystery would it be possible.

So the party went with a hunting group with a few initiates.

They had a scary scuffle with the equivalent of a land based kraken in the woods. Many of the NPCs were slain almost instantly in the first round.

Fortunately everyone of the PCs was smart enough to flee ASAP. A few NPCs did survive however to bring back word of what happened.

The towns folk then organized a plan to deal with this creature as a whole.

That was to be dealt with in the next session.
